One step closer

This week, well okay Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I had orientation for grad school. It was good. There are 7 AuD students that I will be spending the next 3 years with and they seem pretty great. As great as they are they don't compare to my amazing DCOM friends like Lauren, Maria, and Danielle. I'm very excited for the program even though I'll be basically taking 2 classes from my undergrad again. BLECK! I have to take Hearing Assessment over, just because I didn't take it at the grad level, but luckily I don't have to buy a new book for it, because the book I used last year is the one I need. I also have a class called Hearing Science I and it looks similar to my Hearing Science course at the U. as it uses the newer edition of the textbook. My schedule is pretty nice as I have one class late Monday afternoons, Tuesdays are off or Head Start Screening days, Wednesdays are jam-packed with classes from 7 am til 7:30 pm, Thursdays I have clinic in the afternoon, and Fridays I am completely free from the clutches of Goodnight Hall.

With a schedule like that I am hoping to get a job so that maybe I can have some money. I applied for a baby-sitting job for 2 young boys. The mom called me today and I have an interview next Thursday at 2 (because clinic doesn't start until Sept 7). So if you are the praying kind and even if you're not, please pray for me because I really want this job as it fits my schedule rather nicely (2-3 mornings a week and occasional nights and weekends) and it pays well too.
